03 — Validate the insight
An opinion isn't an insight. What actually supports what you think you've found?
"An opinion isn't an insight. What actually supports what you think you've found?"
Do this now
Find one piece of evidence that supports your insight — a research finding, a real-world example, a documented behaviour. Write: 'This insight is supported by...' If you can't find anything, ask whether the insight is real or just a feeling dressed up as a conclusion.
Unpack
This isn't about burying your idea in citations — it's about checking whether your thinking holds up outside your own head. Confirmation bias is the trap: looking only for evidence that agrees with you. Actively look for something that challenges your insight too — if it survives that, it's strong.
Draw it.
