Do this now
Write one thing you've noticed about your topic. Then write 'This suggests that...' and finish the sentence. Then write 'And the reason that matters is...' If the second sentence surprises you even slightly, you've found something worth using.
Unpack
Surface observations describe what's visible. Insights explain why it's happening and why it matters. Most students stop at the first layer because it feels like enough — but so does everyone else's work. What's hidden, absent, or quietly contradictory is almost always more interesting than what's immediately obvious.
