01 — Choose the right tool
Defaulting to the tool you know best is not a workflow. It's a habit.

Do this now
Write your current design task in one sentence. Write which tool you're planning to use. Ask honestly — is that the best tool for this task, or just the most familiar one? Map it: task → tool → why this tool.

Every tool has a logic. Illustrator thinks in vectors. InDesign thinks in layouts. Photoshop thinks in pixels. Figma thinks in systems. AI thinks in patterns — fast, generative, probabilistic. None is better than the others. Each is the right tool for specific jobs and the wrong tool for others. That judgment is a skill worth building deliberately.
Draw it.
Fast and messy is better than perfect.
